Job Summary
Senior Test Analyst required to join the Digital Directorate in NHS Newcastle. The role involves working within a Programme team to build an Integrated Research Application and workflow system, deliver a microservices architecture, and oversee the migration and eventual closure of existing systems.
Main Duties
* Work closely with the delivery team and test engineers to establish the testing baseline.
* Apply wide and complex domain and business knowledge.
* Develop complex test scripts and manage wide, complex defects.
* Provide a business and operational view to solve complex problems.
* Provide test coverage support for test engineers and developers.
* Design functional and non‑functional testing procedures and requirements.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* Master’s level in IS/IT or equivalent experience.
* ISTQB Foundation certification.
Desirable Qualifications
* ISTQB Technical Test Analyst certification.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Expertise
* Comprehensive knowledge of test tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
* Practical experience testing on PEGA and .NET platforms.
* Lead analysis of complex requirements to derive testable scenarios.
* Comprehensive knowledge of testing techniques.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to summarise complex issues.
* Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise amid change.
* Ability to work within and contribute to a high‑performing team.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Expertise
* Working knowledge of coding languages such as Java, .NET, C#.
* Experience as an automated test engineer.
* Extensive knowledge of PEGA and Microsoft platforms.

* Salary: £47,810 – £54,710 per year
