Job overview
The prosthetics service is looking for a physiotherapist with experience of working with amputees and rehabilitation to join the service on a fixed term contract to support patient care and research and audit projects.
The successful applicant will be expected to join an established MDT to specifically support the current resource in ensuring that high quality patient care is continued to those who have experienced limb loss or difference.
Main duties of the job
·To act as an autonomous, registered practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols.
·To be able to assess and develop plans of care to meet the complex needs of patients with long term conditions, recognising own limitations and seeking advice when necessary. This will include continuously evaluating and acting on outcomes.
·Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options for people with lower and or upper limb amputations pre and post prosthetics.
