Overview
Senior Occupational Therapist – HCPC, Specialist Neurorehabilitation Centre – Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Location: Buckingham. Lead and provide expert OT input in a specialist service that supports individuals with ABI within a multidisciplinary team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to take the lead on OT provision in a dynamic clinical setting and to contribute to evidence-based interventions and individual treatment plans.
The Role
As the Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work as an autonomous professional within the specialist clinical area, applying highly developed skills in neurological rehabilitation. You’ll manage a complex caseload, focusing on enhancing occupational performance and supporting service users in regaining vital skills for daily living. You will also be responsible for leading OT provision within the service, liaising with internal and external professionals, and ensuring clear communication with service users and their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide autonomous OT input within a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on neurological rehabilitation.
* Manage a caseload of service users with complex mental and physical health needs, including challenging behaviours.
* Assess, formulate treatment plans, and implement interventions based on evidence-based, service user-centred principles.
* Develop and monitor rehabilitation care programmes, ensuring progress is evaluated and modifications are made where necessary.
* Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and outside agencies, considering cultural and environmental factors during assessment and intervention.
* Maintain high standards of integrity in all communications and interactions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
* A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* HCPC Registration.
* Experience of working with neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries.
Salary and Benefits
The Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist position offers a competitive salary of £47,810 - £54,710 (FTE), depending on experience. In addition to the salary, the role includes an attractive benefits package, including:
