Job Purpose
The UK & I Asset Management department is a growing team whose sole purpose is to deliver financial support services under Management Service Agreements (MSAs) across multiple clients owning renewable assets under management including onshore Wind Farms, Solar Farms and storage farms. The team is effectively an outsourced finance business partnership, which amongst many other services includes delivering on the following key tasks for each portfolio: monthly management accounts with comparisons and analysis to budget, cashflow forecasts, distribution calculations, annual budget preparation, bank loan compliance, financial statement preparation including audit process management and tax return oversight. It is essential that a strong control environment and professional scepticism is maintained throughout the team and processes and procedures are robust, well documented and are constantly monitored. The business continues to grow rapidly which therefore requires an individual that can quickly adapt to changes in priorities and ensure that an allocated portfolio of legal entities always receives the quality service that they have come to expect. The AM Finance department is managing over 150+ Companies and a team size of 22 across 12 clients. There is now, a need for an additional junior management accountant in the team who will be responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of a number of the legal entities ( 12+ operating assets, Holdings as and when allocated to them under their perimeter, with regular reporting to internal stakeholders and external clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial tasks from start to finish with minimum supervision, ensuring monthly management accounts are completed on time (including cash flows, prepayments, accruals, journal posting, reporting with a focus on providing excellence to our clients. In addition, the management accountant is responsible for ensuring statutory accounts are prepared in a timely manner and ensuring compliance with IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102 standards interacting with internal finance team members, operational managers, external auditors and external clients. They may also be required to support and assist the current Management Accountants in case of ad hoc or special projects, holidays, absences or other short-term needs. Organisational ContextThe Asset Management department looks after wind farms, solar and storage plants in the UK and Ireland on behalf of the clients. The services include technical, financial, and commercial asset management. Within this department, the finance team is in charge of commercial, financial and statutory compliance to lenders and asset owners (internal and third party) and provides support to the wider Asset Management team. Key Accountabilities
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts including all journal postings
2. Preparation, manage and deliver cash flow forecasts by liaising with internal asset managers and clients
3. Debtor management for entities
4. Preparation of periodic financial reporting and variance to budget analysis for internal and external clients on a timely and accurate basis
5. Preparation and submission of periodic VAT returns for entities
6. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
7. Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit for SPV companies in IFRS, FRS 102 or UK GAAP, including consolidated sets of accounts
8. Assist with on boarding of new projects into the asset management portfolio
9. Supporting continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes together with the wider Finance and ERP Development teams
10. Supporting regular queries from the operational business
11. Executing additional tasks to meet changing business needs and departmental objectives
12. Business Partnering with respective asset managers for internal reporting and providing information requested in a timely manner
Knowledge you will need
13. Strong accounting knowledge
14. Understanding of both management and statutory accounting
15. Some knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101 and UK GAAP preferable not essential
Skills you will need
16. Proven experience in a producing detailed management accounts
17. Excellent Excel skills and willingness to advance (such as SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT)
18. Excellent technical accounting skills
19. Attention to detail
20. Quick learner – grasp the needs of department very quickly with minim supervision
21. Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement of reporting and analysis
22. Good communication skills and the confidence and credibility to communicate to external parties and non-finance stakeholders

Experience you will have
26. Experience of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting routines within a commercial organization
27. Good experience of using an ERP system
28. Experience in communicating with non-financial internal stakeholders
29. Some experience in preparation of statutory financial statements preferred but not essential
Qualifications you hold
30. Part Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
31. Graduate, who is studying to be professional accountant but has experience of working in finance and has studied Accountancy in Graduation
