EXPERIENCED SMALL ANIMAL VETERINARY SURGEON REQUIRED FOR INDEPENDENT PRACTICE IN HEREFORDSHIRE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, forward-thinking team in Hereford. Brookfield is a well-established small animal practice that has been running for over 50 years. We are independent and have continued to grow and evolve, delivering high standard customer care to our clients and their patients.
You’ll need to be compassionate, proactive, and adaptable, and thrive in a busy clinical environment. This role offers a fantastic balance of consulting and surgical work, providing variety and the chance to grow your skills.
Team and environment
You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team of 10 vets (full- and part-time), 15 RVNs, student nurses, and an invaluable front-of-house team who help keep the practice running smoothly. Our clinical support structure is strong, with certificate holders in Diagnostic Imaging, Dentistry, and Medicine, and colleagues with experience ranging from 1 to over 50 years.
Responsibilities
* Provide high standards of veterinary care for small animal patients in a busy clinical setting.
* Balance clinical consultations with surgical procedures to support a varied caseload.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient care and client communication.

Location and schedule
This is a full-time position over a 4-day week, 1-in-6 weekends, plus participation in the weeknight on-call rota. We offer on-site accommodation and access to a practice vehicle if needed for work duties. You’ll be based in the stunning Herefordshire countryside, with beautiful mountains right on your doorstep.
