Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland - Hybrid and home-based working arrangements supported, with occasional travel to Belfast and UK sites required.
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Cyber Security / Network Security Engineer with experience in building, configuring, and managing technical security solutions, including anti-malware, content filtering, SIEM, and threat detection tools. You will work closely with the Security Operations Manager and external security providers, including a 24/7 SOC, to monitor and respond to security threats, ensuring the organization's systems are protected against emerging risks.
Key Responsibilities
* Support security operations by executing procedures reliably and accurately.
* Coordinate with external suppliers and SOC to ensure quality and respond to security alerts.
* Maintain and update security tools and patches.
* Create and update procedural documentation.
* Participate in security exercises and incident responses.
* Identify and analyze security threats and vulnerabilities.
* Collaborate with IT and security teams to mitigate vulnerabilities.
* Conduct vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts.
* Interpret technical information to identify patterns and root causes.
* Work with project teams to ensure secure deployment of changes.
Candidate Requirements
* Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCNA, MTA, SSCP, CEH, CREST CPSA/CRT (obtained or expected).
* Enthusiasm for staying current with security threats and solutions.
* Experience in cybersecurity, system engineering, or related roles.
* Hands-on experience with security tools and technical solutions.
* Good understanding of Windows OS, Linux, and MacOS.
* Experience working with suppliers and outsourced services.
* Ability to analyze alerts and diagnostic data.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
