Titanic Belfast is recruiting for two individuals for the newly created roles of Facilities Team Leader. The Facilities Team at Titanic Belfast are responsible for the pre-planned maintenance (PPM), day-to-day reactive maintenance, and project implementation throughout Titanic Belfast and onboard SS Nomadic.
The key purpose of these roles is to provide support to the Facilities Manager and Head of Facilities with the daily Facilities management operations at Titanic Belfast and SS Nomadic and to support with the management of the Facilities Team to which you are assigned. Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Play a key role in Facilities operational team (FOX) covering pre-planned and reactive maintenance regarding systems, fabric and utilities.
* Working role will require a proactive approach with desk time kept to a minimum, hot desking will be in place.
* Act as a Team Leader on projects within your area of responsibility, as and when required
* Ensure adherence to processes and systems (including WorkPal) which assist in the planning and delivery of all tasks carried out by the FM team and Contractors.
* To be aware of all Statutory requirements, ensuring full compliance in the following example areas: -
* Building Critical Support Systems
* Gas and electricity
* Entertainments licence
* All relevant systems and equipment requiring statutory inspection.
* To ensure relevant training has been provided to the team to support allocated tasks
* To assist with procurement and stock control of system consumables and building materials
* Ensure systems are running to optimum capabilities in line with the Energy Management Strategy
* To continue implementation of the Health and Safety regime for the building and associated outlets and assist with any new requirements.
* To be aware of Disability Discrimination Act requirements for access to the building and associated outlets
* One of the core team of staff responsible for the delivery of Titanic Belfast’s Emergency and Fire Strategies
* To contribute to the planning and management of Titanic Belfast’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recover Strategy
* To participate in building initiatives to ensure sustainability and energy management savings
* To liaise with all departments on a daily basis, responding to feedback to ensure continuous improvement within the building
* To assist with planning, installation and operation of temporary exhibitions that Titanic Belfast have partnered on
* To cover holidays or absences on FOX Team if required.
* As Facilities Team Leader, act as a key liaison on all operational building/facilities matters with Alpha
* To work with the Venue Management Administrator to ensure that all relevant reports are available for monthly reporting
* Attend meetings (internal or external) as required by the business, ensuring you are fully prepared and progress any relevant actions that result from the meeting.
* Compliance with the Titanic Belfast’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
* Proactive and positive approach to embracing and being compliant to organisational Health and Safety Culture
* To undertake your duties in such a way as to enhance and protect the reputation and public profile of Titanic Belfast and TBL International
* Ensure adherence to and compliance with all GDPR/Data Protection related policies and procedures
* To undertake such other relevant duties as may from time to time be required
·A time served qualification in one or more of the following disciplines - MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and/or 4 years previous experience in MEP, in relation to building services and utilities in a large public building
·Previous experience and knowledge in the following key areas including associated Statutory requirements: -
-CHP (Combined Heat and Power)
-Large cooling installations and systems
-BMS
-Building Critical Support Systems
-Gas and Electricity
·Demonstratable previous experience in Health and Safety within a public building
·Basic IT skills
·Experience supervising, managing or leading others in a working environment
