Our manufacturing client based in Port Talbot is currently seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Lead to oversee the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy at their manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the HSE strategy in line with company policies and legal requirements.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are in place to mitigate hazards.
* Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HSE matters.
* Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
* Monitor and review HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance safety culture.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE legislation and standards.
* Deliver HSE training and inductions to employees as required.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
* NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Proactive approach to identifying and addressing HSE issues.
