The role
:
Our Future of Finance community within the Risk Line of Service is currently expanding and we’re seeking talented, high performing professionals with strong finance transformation and financial advisory skills to join our team as a Future of Finance Senior Manager.
We are looking for individuals to play a key role in delivering finance function optimisation advisory engagements. Individuals will have a strong background in financial process, risk, controls and transformation, and the ability to play a leading role in building the practice, winning work, owning client relationships and leading teams to deliver complex engagements to senior stakeholders.
If you’re successful you’ll undertake work which includes:
1. Leading teams delivering finance function optimisation engagements for a diverse range of clients as part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team.
2. Providing Finance SME input across a variety of transformation programme workstreams, including testing, training, data, reporting, and business change.
3. Leading and coordinating other PwC specialists (e.g. testing, data) to provide an integrated service to our clients.
4. Leading team members to achieve successful project outcomes.
5. Engaging with senior client stakeholders to promote customer outcomes and challenge existing approaches.
6. Developing and managing relationships with key client stakeholders.
7. Building relationships with new and existing clients
8. Leading the build of re-usable assets that will increase the efficiency and go-to-market offerings of PwC
9. Documenting, proposing and discussing solution options as a part of the programme team
10. Managing engagement commercials, economics and resources.
11. Working on multiple projects and managing your time effectively to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.
12. Business development activity, including identifying new client opportunities and managing proposals and bids.
13. You will also have people responsibilities including:
14. Developing junior team members through effective coaching and supervision.
15. Creating a positive and inclusive team environment.
The essentials:
16. A chartered or certified accountancy qualification (ACA or equivalent) and / or have previously led a team delivering finance transformation projects.
17. Technical knowledge and practical experience of finance operating models, financial processes and control design and finance systems.
18. Business process mapping, modelling and documentation knowledge
19. Strong team working and leadership skills.
20. Ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues at all levels
21. A willingness to learn new skills and help develop and innovate new client propositions
22. Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and demonstration skills.
23. Ability to prioritise and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
24. Must have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
25. Solves complex problems with creative solutions
Preferred skills:
26. Commercial acumen and an interest in how complex organisations operate
27. Leading and overseeing agile project delivery teams
28. Hands on experience working in a finance function within an organisation wound be beneficial
29. Thinks clearly and calmly under pressure
30. Able to manage client expectations and effectively manage complex / difficult conversations
31. Confidently lead and develop team members
32. Strong analytical, logic and problem-solving skills.
