Oxford (Hybrid) | Up to £90k
9-Day Fortnight 8% Pension Leadership & Growth Opportunity
A growing, design‑led sustainability and engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate or Associate Director to help drive the next phase of growth from its Oxford office.
This is a strategic role for an experienced sustainability leader who enjoys building client relationships, winning work and developing teams - not just delivering projects.
The Role
You will play a key role in expanding the business's presence across the Oxford and wider South East market, working closely with senior leadership to grow both revenue and capability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building and managing long‑term client relationships across key sectors such as science, education, commercial and research.
* Leading business development and work‑winning, including proposals, bids and client engagement.
* Acting as a senior advisor to clients, providing strategic sustainability and building performance guidance.
* Leading and overseeing delivery across Building Physics, Whole Life Carbon and Net Zero design.
* Growing and mentoring the local team, helping to build a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
* Supporting the development and expansion of sustainability service lines as the business evolves.
About You
You will already be operating at Associate or Associate Director level within a consultancy environment and bring:
* A strong track record of developing client relationships and winning work.
* Experience leading projects and managing multiple client accounts.
* Broad expertise across Building Physics, operational energy, Whole Life Carbon or Net Zero strategy.
* Experience leading and developing teams.
* Commercial awareness and the ambition to play a visible role in growing a business.
Why Join?
* Join a consultancy in a high‑growth phase, where senior hires can shape direction and influence strategy.
* Genuine opportunity to build a team, grow a client base and develop new service areas.
* Clear pathway toward senior leadership and future ownership opportunities.
* Strong work‑life balance, including a 9‑day fortnight and competitive benefits.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded sustainability leader who wants more influence, autonomy and long‑term growth than a traditional Associate role can offer.
