We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Sous Chef with a minimum of 3 Rosette or Michelin experience to join the brigade at our luxury nine-bedroom boutique hotel in the Scottish Highlands, near Tain.

Our luxury nine-bedroom boutique hotel has been awarded a Michelin key and has been shortlisted in Conde Nast for 2025, and the restaurant has been awarded 2 Rosettes. The hotel provides breakfast, dinner, and ad hoc events to guests and visitors in a beautiful remote setting.
The Role of Senior Sous Chef
As Senior Sous Chef, you will be involved in:
* Menu compilation
* Hygiene, health, and safety checks
* Ordering
* Minimal administration duties
* Monthly stock take
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen as per cleaning schedules
* Establishing a friendly and respectful rapport with colleagues and guests
Working within a brigade of four chefs, you will provide breakfast, dinner, and special event menus, informing them about the provenance of ingredients and the preparation of menu items. A confident and outgoing personality is a must.
The ideal Senior Sous Chef candidate will:
* Possess professional cookery qualifications
* Have previous experience in restaurants with at least 3 Rosette or Michelin recognition, in a similar position
* Demonstrate initiative, positivity, and problem-solving skills
* Be innovative, always thinking of new ideas for menus and food presentation
* Be a great team player, establishing a close, calm, and positive working relationship within the brigade
* Be flexible and willing to go the extra mile
* Possess honesty and integrity, owning up to errors and demonstrating strong character
Hours of work are 40 per week (flexible). The position is expected to start in June 2025. The closing date for applications is 20th May 2025.
