Job Summary
In order to maximise sales and provide an excellent customer experience in its extensive Farm Shop and busy tills area there is now a requirement for a skilled retail Tills and Farm Shop Supervisor to take ownership of this dynamic location.
We are looking for a detail obsessed 'foodie', with a passion for retail standards and customer service to join our expanding team and Supervise the Tills and Farm Shop area.
You will be tasked with supervising the shop floor and ensuring company policies and legal requirements are adhered to. You will be adaptable within this large family-run business, with a strong sense of passion and commitment, which are essential for this role.
The role:
* Wide ranging retail supervisor/manager role
* Working to strict targets and deadlines
* Ensuring the customer experience is one that they will want to return for
* Helping to maximise sales opportunities through visual merchandising
* Motivating, managing and training a small, dedicated team
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness
* Managing ordering, stock control and rotation
* Supervising the Goods-in team and process, including checking deliveries for accuracy and dealing with paperwork/credit notes
* Liaising with other departments regarding deliveries in and out
* Operating the till system
* Serve customers quickly, efficiently and in a friendly manner
* Ensure customers have the best shopping experience at the checkout
* Process cash and card payments with a high level of accuracy
* Cashing up
* Staff management
The ideal candidate:
* You will have a proven track record in a similar retail environment
* Sales targets and results driven
* Highly organised, accurate and reliable with excellent attention to detail
* Previous experience with till systems
* Highly computer literate
* Team player, energetic, enthusiastic and dynamic
* Passionate about food quality and provenance
* Excellent customer service skills
* Professional and well-presented
* This is a physically demanding role requiring a good level of physical fitness.
