Events and Engagement Volunteer - Hull CVS
Description: We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to join the Hull CVS ‘Working 4 Good’ Team. This role involves engaging with the community and assisting at various events. As an Events and Engagement Volunteer, you will support Hull CVS staff with event setup and breakdown, manage event stands, welcome and assist delegates, provide encouragement, and interact with the general public.
Hull CVS has been supporting the charitable sector for over 40 years. We aim to maintain a strong community presence, especially post-pandemic. At events, you may promote and discuss topics such as volunteering, available support for the charitable sector, raising awareness, and gathering public opinions.
What are we looking for?
We need someone who enjoys speaking to a diverse range of people about Hull CVS’s work. Excellent communication skills, a focus on delivering outstanding customer service, and a willingness to learn about Hull CVS and the broader charitable sector are essential. Being a team player is crucial, and while experience in supporting events is beneficial, it is not required.
Additional Information:
* You will receive an induction.
* Travel expenses will be covered.
* While some tasks may be office-based, most volunteering will occur within the community.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Answer queries and provide information to event attendees.
* Manage Hull CVS event stands and welcome delegates.
* Assist with the setup and breakdown of event equipment.
* Encourage and support delegates during events.
* Marshal and interact with the general public.
* Promote Hull CVS services and gather feedback from the community.
