Electrical Project Manager – BESS & Solar | Contract | South Wales (Newport / Swindon / Bristol)

I’m working with a leading client in the BESS and solar sector who is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee critical construction and commissioning activities on-site in South Wales.
The Role:
You’ll be joining the team as they move from construction into the commissioning and grid connection phase of a BESS integration project. Your core responsibility will be to manage and coordinate subcontractors on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and timelines are maintained throughout the final stages of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee electrical works across construction and commissioning phases
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors on-site
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and QA procedures
* Collaborate with internal teams and grid operators during grid connection
* Report progress to project stakeholders
About You:
* Strong background in electrical project management
* Previous BESS and/or solar experience is highly desirable
* Hands-on, proactive approach with good site-based leadership skills
* Comfortable managing subcontractor teams and driving site delivery
* Available to work Monday–Friday, site-based
* Ideally based near Newport, but open to candidates from Swindon or Bristol
