Overview
Painter & Decorator Support Technician (Damp & Mould) at Paradigm Housing Group. The role focuses on removing and cleaning damp and mould in properties, followed by painting and decorating to restore high standards once hazards are resolved. You will work with surveyors, supervisors, and other trades to ensure hazards are fully addressed before finishing work.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to reports of damp and mould, completing emergency works within 24 hours and non-emergency works within 7 days
* Clean and treat affected areas using safe, effective methods
* Collaborate with surveyors and other trades to address root causes
* Carry out internal and external painting and decorating once hazard removal is complete
* Prepare surfaces, including plastering, rendering, and making good
* Undertake minor maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry and plumbing
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
What We’re Looking For
* A recognised qualification (NVQ/BTEC) or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in painting/decorating
* A solid understanding of damp, mould, and the requirements of Awaab’s Law
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management and communication skills
* Physical fitness and confidence working at height
* A full, valid UK driving licence
Experience in other trades, health and safety training, and basic IT skills would be advantageous.

Location of work: Mobile role with travel across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Head Office, Location: High Wycombe; Stores Room, Location: Chesham
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (42.5 hours per week, 08:00 - 17:30 Mon - Friday)
