Responsibilities
* Health & Safety and Fire Checks – accountable for health & safety and fire safety checks, keep comprehensive auditable records, liaise with internal departments.
* Safeguarding – identify concerns, take swift action, monitor and report on safety & wellbeing of customers, signpost and refer to support services as appropriate.
* Partnership Working – liaise with care providers, GPs, social services and families, keeping information joined up.
* Being the 'go‑to' – first port of call for residents, families and professionals.
* Effective management of the building and estate – ensure health & safety, security and cleanliness; report repairs; undertake fire alarms, conduct pull‑cord checks and record them.
* Effectively manage termination of tenancies and liaise with voids, lettings team and contractors.
* Responsible for customer engagement and consultation, facilitate customers' aspirations for social and wellbeing activities, proactively engage with care, statutory and voluntary agencies, ensuring the service and site is accessible to all.
* Manage low‑level ASB cases in accordance with policies, working with the Housing team and provide guidance to customers reporting ASB.
* Assist customers to claim Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits, reduce rent arrears and ensure rent is paid on time.
* Support colleagues and manage cover at Extra Care Schemes.
* Work in collaboration with third‑party onsite care providers.
* Complete KPI returns as outlined in Support Contract set by the Local Authority.
Qualifications
* Intermediate MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems.
* Experience in a customer‑facing role within care and/or support.
* Proven experience working with vulnerable people and community groups.
* Confidence with health and safety basics.
* Sound working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice frameworks.
Desirable
* Level 3 qualification in Housing or Supported Housing.
* Health & Safety qualification.
* Knowledge of welfare benefits such as Housing Benefit or Universal Credit.
