We have an opportunity for an Advisor, who is part qualified or currently working towards the Level 5 CIPD qualification, to join our friendly team that focuses on a wide range of areas including People and Culture issues and casework, staff experience, health and wellbeing and equality, diversity and inclusion.
If you have experience of providing HR advice on a range of People related issues coupled with an interest and enthusiasm for improving staff experience and health and wellbeing by supporting the delivery of a range of diverse projects, then this could be the role for you.
The role will be based with the People and Culture Team at our head office in Wakefield and we are happy to discuss hybrid working opportunities after a settling in period.
Timeline
* Closing date midnight 29 April 2026
* Telephone interview via MS Teams with 4 May 2026 and, if successful, invite to on‑site interviews/selection process at our offices in Wakefield on 12 May 2026 (provisional date)
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, part qualified or working towards your CIPD qualification and be keen to develop your skills in this varied role.
You will provide professional advice, guidance and coaching to managers on a range of People issues and casework in accordance with Spectrum’s policies, employment legislation, ACAS codes of practice and other professional standards. This includes supporting managers to resolve People issues informally wherever possible.
You may have experience of being involved or leading wellbeing initiatives but more important is your enthusiasm and creativity to improve the experience of staff within the workplace. You will review data, best practice and engage with staff and staff networks to listen to staff feedback, make recommendations on appropriate initiatives and take these forward.
As a result, you will be an effective communicator with a wide variety of staff, both verbally via presentations and staff briefings or in writing using reports or newsletters.
