PSV / PCV Driver for Day Care Centre for Adults with Learning Disabilities
We are currently seeking a professional and reliable PSV Driver to provide holiday cover, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
This is a rewarding role transporting clients safely between their homes and a day care centre, playing a vital part in ensuring comfort, punctuality, and excellent service at all times.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of clients to and from a day care centre. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and courteous customer service.
The role operates in line with the day care centre's schedule:
* Morning shift: 8:00am – 10:30am (approximately 2.5 hours)
* Afternoon shift: 3:00pm – 5:30pm (approximately 2.5 hours)
This split-shift pattern offers a balanced working day while maintaining consistent service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely transport clients between their homes and the day care centre.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical issues to the Transport Manager.
* Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and safety.
* Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and management regarding schedules or any unforeseen delays.
* Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Valid D or D1 licence.
* Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card.
* Valid Tachograph card.
* Clean DBS-checked history and good character references.
* Clean driving record demonstrating responsible driving behaviour.
* Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Must not have 101 restriction on licence.
* Have use of a car to commute to and from work.
