Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding role in a vibrant and inclusive primary school? We are seeking a dedicated HLTA to lead support for pupils joining outside normal transition points. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and help shape a new initiative within the school.
About the Role
1. Lead interventions and support for pupils who are new to the school.
2. Deliver small-group and one-to-one sessions.
3. Support pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
4. Maintain accurate records and liaise with inclusion teams.
What We’re Looking For
5. HLTA status or equivalent experience.
6. Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths grade C or above).
7. Recent professional development and safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake).
8. Experience supporting primary-aged pupils and delivering interventions.
Desirable:
9. Training in EAL or language acquisition.
10. Trauma-informed approaches.
11. Experience supporting families new to the UK.
