CAP Engineer Powered Access Industry
We are currently recruiting for an experiencedCAP Engineer (Competent Assessed Person)to join our team within thepowered access industryon a full-time basis.
Working hours:
* Monday to Friday
* 4050 hours per week
* Overtime available

* £50,000 per year

Role Overview
A CAP Engineer is anIPAF-authorised, highly competent professionalresponsible for theplanning, management, and completion of statutory inspectionson powered access equipment. This role represents thehighest level of inspection competencewithin the powered access sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying outthorough statutory inspectionsof MEWPs, MCWPs, and construction hoists
* Ensuring full compliance withLOLER and relevant safety regulations
* Planning, managing, and conducting inspections beyond standard servicing and maintenance
* Assessing machine safety, identifying defects, and ensuring corrective actions are completed
* Maintaining accurate inspection records and certification documentation
* Working closely with engineering and operations teams to uphold safety standards
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar CAP Engineer role within the powered access industry is essential
* Valid IPAF CAP certification and IPAF PAL Card essential
* Typically4+ years experienceworking with powered access equipment
* Strong mechanical, electrical, and fault-finding knowledge
* Excellent understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and industry compliance standards
* Ability to work independently with a high level of responsibility
