The RAC is renowned for roadside rescue, but our SMR division is paving a new path. Here, you’ll deliver planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to our members—right from their driveway or workplace car park.
Forget emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts! You’ll have a clear digital schedule, allowing you to focus on:
* Routine servicing
* Advanced diagnostics
* In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
* Providing member advice and recommendations
* Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With everything you need from day one—a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and advanced diagnostics—you’ll be empowered to deliver quality work efficiently.

What You’ll Need
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
