Were looking for caring and dedicated in-person tutors to support secondary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). In this role, youll deliver Maths and English lessons and provide tailored support to help students who may have experienced gaps in their learning. Our pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds, and many benefit from a calm, patient approach to rebuild their confidence and re-engage with education. This role is ideal for tutors who are adaptable, understanding, and committed to making a real difference in young peoples lives. Locations Tutoring will take place in person across Didcot, Banbury, and Bicester. Pay £25£30 per hour, depending on experience and role requirements. What Were Looking For The ideal tutor will: Have experience supporting children or young people in education or related settings (e.g., tutoring, teaching, SEN support, teaching assistant roles, youth work) Be confident delivering secondary-level Maths and English Have experience with SEN pupils, or a strong interest in working with them Be patient, reliable, and adaptable, tailoring sessions to individual needs Be comfortable supporting pupils from diverse social and educational backgrounds Hours & Commitment Minimum availability of 10 hours per week Tutors seeking a fuller timetable would typically work with 23 pupils Consistency and professionalism are essential Key Responsibilities Deliver structured, engaging, and personalised Maths and English sessions in person Support pupils with learning gaps and low confidence Accurately record attendance and complete a lesson summary after each session Build positive relationships with pupils and maintain clear communication If you have a background in education and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed, wed love to hear from you!
