Our Business
We are a family-owned business situated six miles south-west of Yeovil, near Crewkerne. This position will provide day-to-day support to the HR, Compliance, and Training Manager across all areas of HR administration, compliance monitoring, and training coordination. Our core business comprises a dairy operation with over 2,400 milking cows, an Arable operation, and an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant.
This role ensures that the farm’s approximately 50-staff workforce is supported with accurate HR processes, that compliance requirements are consistently met, and that training is effectively delivered and recorded.
Your Role
Roles and responsibilities will include:
· Maintain accurate HR records, including contracts, absence, holidays, and personnel files.
· Prepare recruitment materials, advertise vacancies, and support the recruitment process through candidate correspondence and interview coordination.
· Assist with employee onboarding and induction programmes.
· Provide first-line support for HR queries, escalating to the HR Manager where appropriate.
· Maintain compliance documentation, policies, and procedures.
· Support the preparation of audits and inspections (employment law, health & safety, farming standards).
· Ensure record-keeping and filing systems are accurate and up to date.
· Monitor compliance checklists and escalate issues to the HR Manager.
· Coordinate staff training schedules, ensuring all mandatory training is completed and logged.
Provide administrative and operational support to the HR, Compliance, and Training Manager
Requirements
· A full UK Driving license
· Proof of UK right to work
· Experienced in HR Admin, compliance and training coordination
· Basic knowledge of Employment Law
· 2 years’ experience working in an admin-focused role.
· A diploma in Business Admin, HR, or a CIPD qualification is preferred but not essential.
· Show excellent communication skills, building a strong relationship with all team members to achieve high-level results
· Be able to adapt to different situations, with high attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Be respectful, reliable, and calm under pressure, ready to help move the business forward.
· Familiar with the full Microsoft package suite.
