About the team
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Enterprise Finance Team at Worldpay, within a high-profile role leading the finance partnering team for both the ‘Non-direct’ Commercial Functions and the wider RM/backbook organization, to support the overall achievement of financials goals/growth expectations
This role should act as the translator between Finance and the business; being able to effectively communicate through all layers of management, whilst delivering actionable insight and challenge to all stakeholders involved. This role will also play a pivotal role in the longer-term strategy of the Enterprise business, ensuring finance are involved in all relevant decisions.
What you will be doing
* Lead role in finance partnering the ‘Non-direct’ Commercial functions within the Enterprise business (Operations, GTM and Financial Partnerships)
* Ownership of the commercial finance process (forecast/analytics) for the RM team/back book (Cross-sell/retention)
* Influencing key business decision and outcomes. Providing critique and challenge plans on Market Expansion, RFPs, and strategic direction of business
* Ownership/lead on Enterprise long range plan, and other strategic initiatives
* Lead on other strategic projects focusing on driving maximum value from existing data within the business, to aid in decision making across commercial teams
* Lead strategic and financial planning processes for non-direction functions (e.g., Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Budget, Forecasts, etc.)
* Provide meaningful executive level analysis of business performance and insightful supporting commentary
* Develop and monitor KPIs across non-direct commercial teams, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders
Support business in delivering required cost efficiencies to meet long term financial targets of Enterprise business
* Continuously considering opportunities for optimisation
* Leadership of 2-3 finance partners/analysts.
What you bring:
* Qualified Accountant (not essential) with 5+ years experience in a Commercial Finance or Cost Focused function
* Experience in leading a small team with the desire to ultimately lead a larger team/function
* Strong financial modelling and commercial acumen with ability to evaluate financial impact of business decisions.
* Experience on delivering transformational projects across teams and driving efficiencies
* Strong focus on ‘problem solving’ and ownership to drive results
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint, strong presentation skills
* Experience within Payments/Fintech industry preferable
* Organised self-starter, with drive and ambition who thrives under pressure, and is capable of confidently working alongside the most senior stakeholders across the wider business.
* Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy & adherence to deadlines.
