Exam Invigilator
Part time
Salary: £12.78 per hour
Burton on Trent, Town Centre Campus
Who are we looking for?
To increase our bank of Exam Invigilators, we are looking for candidates who are available to work on an ad-hoc basis. We run examinations on weekdays throughout the year, from 09:00, and on occasion, until 21:00. Exams are delivered on behalf of several exam boards and can last between 1 and 3.5 hours. There is an expectation of regular availability to invigilate exams and to support administrative tasks within our Data or Exams teams.
Demand on our invigilators is high, and, in addition to invigilation, there is a regular need for people to be a reader or scribe for our supported learners.
Exams take place at both college sites. You will need to make prompt decisions under pressure and be comfortable dealing with post-16 and adult learners. Training and the opportunity to shadow experienced invigilators will be available for successful applicants.
You will be paid for the duration of the exam, plus half an hour beforehand to ensure a timely start for the students.
