The Poltimore Inn is a village pub, with a busy weekend trade that peaks during the summer and school holidays. We pride ourselves on offering restaurant quality food, great accommodation in a relaxed setting. We are looking to add to our small but friendly front of house team. We are passionate about offering our guests a dining experience that is welcoming, inclusive and attentive. Relevant training will be provided on the specifics, but you will need to be able to demonstrate a visible enthusiasm for looking after our guests.
Duties will involve organising the table plans, taking bookings, welcoming customers, taking their orders, serving drinks & food and generally looking after them throughout their visit. There will be opportunities to do extra helping cleaning, cover holidays and sickness. At the end of the shift there will be cleaning down and closing procedures. You will be expected to work on the Bar, and be able to help run shifts in the restaurant. Great communication skills and the ability to work as a team is vital.
Due to the nature of our business, we will require the successful candidate to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as well as day shifts. We are able to be flexible, but we will require commitment to our key dates prior to employment commencing.
