This job role is essential to ensure the smooth running of systems involved in the orderingand invoicing of medicines and other pharmacy items, providing safe and timely patientcare.
Utilising computerised systems and undertakes medicines replenishment involving ordering, invoicing,receipt,verification,unpackingandappropriatestorageofproducts/goods.
The post holder liaises with internal and external, team colleagues and suppliers to foster ahighly professional and responsive pharmacy procurement service that meets operationalneeds.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. •Minimum 3 GCSE’s to grade C in English, Maths and Science
2. •NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Science or be willing to work towards
3. •Computer literacy with working knowledge of the following applications: oMicrosoft Word oMicrosoft Excel oMicrosoft Outlook
4. This post requires a minimum of one year’s commitment to training for this post
Desirable criteria
5. •Previous experience of working in a purchasing/supply function
6. •Knowledge of Wellsky/computer based dispensing system
7. •Knowledge of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and awareness of the Carter Report

8. •Physically fit – this post includes manual handling, lifting, pushing, pulling and bending with boxes up to 20kg. These tasks may be required to be sustained for several periods in a working day.
9. •Walking over distances and for prolonged time is required to perform the duties that are located across the hospital site.
