The Asset Management function within Altrad Babcock is a highly specialised engineering services and equipment provider, supporting customers to minimise cost, maximise return and mitigate risk through their asset integrity lifecycle.
We are recruiting exceptional candidates to join our mission in becoming a fully certified Asset Management engineering services provider of both consultancy and integrated projects, across future global low carbon energy and infrastructure markets.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Integrity Engineer to join us based in the field, primarily in the East of England.
A key requirement of the role is to perform inspection of industrial plant to monitor corrosion and degradation, ensuring a consistent high standard in the service for our clients.
The Senior Engineer will develop relationships with customers which in turn will optimise the opportunities available and support the development of new business. Role & Responsibilities Execution: Use company and industry discipline codes and inspection standards and working practices, in order to fulfil plant inspection requirements and define remedial actions. All activities will be in compliance with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). Provide support as required to stakeholders and discipline leads of varying experience levels as required, in the provision of quality and timely technical input which will enhance profitable project delivery. Governance: Comply with national laws/regulations and adhere to company-wide & functional BOPs and WIs in order to act in line with standardised working practices and ensure best practice. Innovation: Look for opportunities for efficiency savings and development as well as contributing to project reviews/lessons learned in order to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Communication: Build and maintain an internal and external (client) relationship network in order to leverage expertise, contribute to decision making and satisfy stakeholder requirements. Teamwork: Support team members with project tasks, share knowledge and experience and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business, with strategic partners and, ultimately with our clients. People Development: Take accountability for their own personal development record as part of Altrad Babcock’s talent management ethos. Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of staff related to technical execution of their roles to support the development of the next level of talent within the organisation.
Job Requirements
* Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or a related subject.
* Sufficient and appropriate experience in core corrosion and degradation damage mechanisms.
* Knowledge and application of Business Operating Procedures appropriate to allotted tasks and associated documentation.
* Knowledge and application of the requirements of UK/EU (or equivalent in-country) Laws and Regulations applicable to services and products associated with Competency(s).
* Eligible for security clearance CTC (Counter Terrorism Check) Ideal Candidate
* Qualified in plant inspection such as Level 2 or 3 CSWIP Plant Inspector. • Substantial inspection/integrity experience.
* Considerable experience and background in relationship building and management.
* Self-motivated and driven to deliver own workload with minimal oversite.
* Aspirations to broader team management and capability development within a large multifaceted organisation.
* Experience in working within a highly regulated (nuclear) environment. Typical Duties: • Assessment of industrial plant items such as pipework, vessels, tanks, supporting structures, cladding and insulation on outdoor plant.
* Generate inspection
* Make recommendations and liaise with company Technical Authorities to develop solutions and propose improvements with respect to known degradation issues.
* Review proposals for remedial work.
* Review recommendations for corrosion management according to industry best practice.
* Raise work-requests and specify activities for remedial work.
* Liaise with plant operator staff to communicate inspection findings and present remedial approaches.
* Develop and refine inspection routines.
* Develop resource plans for inspection activities according to schedule and scope requirements.
* Mentoring and providing technical leadership to developing inspectors and junior staff.
