As an independent registered charity, Willen Hospice provides exceptional, compassionate care to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of one of Milton Keynes’ most respected and loved charities. The Role: As a Board Member (Trustee), you will be part of the governing body responsible for the overall strategic direction, legal compliance, and financial health of the hospice. Your leadership will help ensure we continue to meet the highest standards of governance while delivering our mission with integrity and compassion. Please note this is a volunteering role that is unpaid. Key Responsibilities: Help review, and monitor the strategic direction of Willen Hospice. Uphold and champion our values throughout your work. Ensure compliance with charity law, financial regulations, and best practices. Act as an ambassador, promoting the hospice’s work within the community. Provide support and constructive challenge to the Chair, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team. Work collaboratively with fellow Board members to maintain strong governance. Oversee specific responsibilities, including property-related governance, as needed. Participate actively in Board and Committee meetings, hospice events, and training.
