Description As a Summer Intern in Global Markets, you will engage in a stimulating environment, exploring our sophisticated financial solutions across asset classes. What You Can Expect Our Global Markets teams operate in all major financial markets and develop sophisticated financial solutions to help clients manage risk, increase returns and solve complex financial problems. Globally, we hold key positions across all major financial markets. This is a nine week program running June to August, targeted at penultimate year or final year students and is a pipeline to the analyst programme the following year. Based on your personal and collaborative achievements, those who successfully complete the program may receive offers of full-time employment for the analyst programme upon graduation. If successful, a matching process takes place in the February before you start, whereby you will take part in a selection of speed networking sessions with all available desks within Research. You will then be asked to rank order all desks, for which the desks will carry out the same process – we will then look to match desks with interns with the highest collective match. You’ll support senior colleagues with important research, analysis and preparatory work. You will monitor markets, develop trade ideas, conduct portfolio reviews, and learn about the solutions and products we offer for clients to manage any market conditions. Available tracks Trading : a unique insight into global markets – we provide liquidity to clients in all major asset classes and pride ourselves on our fast execution, market share and e-trading platforms. A trader’s role is to respond to and encourage client enquiries, manage the resulting risk, and understand and respond to market-moving events. Trading is detail-focused, mentally stimulating and requires detailed evaluations. Structuring & Origination: within Markets, this is a hybrid group inclusive of Sales, Trading and Banking. J.P. About You Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills for the country to which you are applying. Willing to take on some responsibility and manage your own projects in collaboration with your colleagues. Graduation date from April 2026 to December 2027. Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills: Strong interest in global financial markets, as well as investigative and quantitative skills. Flexibility, attention to detail and thrives in a collaborative environment. Well-rounded academic background that includes details of extra-curricular positions is also of interest to us.
