WIZO is the largest social welfare organisation in Israel. WIZO helps vulnerable and disadvantaged Israeli citizens, regardless of age, race, or religion, to become self-sufficient and contributing members of society. With over 250,000 members in 50 countries worldwide, WIZO is the main agent for change for people in Israel.
For over 100 years, WIZO has been supporting vital projects across Israel including day care centres, vocational training schools, shelters for women and children, centres for girls at-risk, youth villages and boarding schools. WIZO runs life-changing programmes for single parent families, immigrants, vulnerable teenagers and the elderly, as well as providing dedicated hotlines responding to issues around parenting, legal problems and domestic violence for men and women.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised individual to join our team – 3 days a week in our office in Borehamwood.
Contract: 3 days a week in the office (permanent)
Areas of Responsibility
Administrative Support
* Keepingtrack and responding to our central email account and acting as first point of contact for general enquiries to the office.
* Oversee and manage general office administration to ensure efficient daily operations.
* Ordering stationery/ office supplies.
* Assist with sending out gift certificates as required.
* Overseeing the administration of our commemorative Tree of Life.
* Attend events as required (max 2 per year)
Meetings
* Schedule, set-up and coordinate internal meetings and meetings for volunteers and members either on zoom or in person (on average every 6 weeks).
* Sending out agendas and setting up zoom meetings.
* Taking minutes and sending these out after meetings.
Membership
* Sending out and chasing up annual membership reminders to our members.
* Processing membership payments on Donorfy database.
* Organising zoom meetings for groups as required with support of Events/marketing team.
* Sending out letters/cards of congratulations/condolences to members on behalf of senior members of the team.
* Keeping Donorfy database up to date as required.
* Sending messages via whats app/email to members and groups.
* Assisting in the production of group newsletters as required.
* Coordinating weekly volunteer in the office.
Campaign Support
* With the support of our finance department, inputting batches of payments on Donorfy in particular in relation to one of our main campaigns from May to September.
* As required, sending receipts for donations.
* Assist with administering annual Quiz@home including liaising with quiz writers, sending out invitations and managing payments.Assisting on the night of the event.
Required Skills and Attributes
* Must have excellent attention to detail, be able to prioritise workload and work efficiently.
* Must have excellent IT skills including MS Office packages and ideally knowledge of Donorfy or other database.
* Must be able to follow clear instructions but also be self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Must be a team player.
