Job Title: Visits Support Officer – HMP Forest Bank Visits Tea Bar
Location: HMP Forest Bank
Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Visits Support Officer to manage and operate the Tea Bar shop within the Visits Hall at HMP Forest Bank. This role is key in delivering excellent customer service to prisoners’ visitors and families, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, service, and financial control.
Responsibilities
* Manage shop operations to meet agreed specifications and financial targets.
* Prepare and serve refreshments to visitors.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health and safety compliance.
* Handle cash, carry out weekly/monthly stocktakes, and prepare purchase orders.
* Support the catering team to continuously improve service delivery.
* Respond professionally to challenging visitor situations while enforcing site policies.
Requirements
* Proven ability to generate and implement new ideas.
* Strong communication, organisation, time-management, and people skills.
* Excellent customer service focus.
* (Desirable) Experience in a custodial environment.
* (Desirable) Level 2 Food Safety certification.
