Mobile Site Engineer Location: Site-based (Region wide travel) Job Type: Full-time Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Mobile Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineer with strong all‑round experience in diesel generators, basic electrics, plumbing, site installations, servicing, maintenance, and repairs. Applicants with experience in hybrid power systems and Solar PV are highly desirable. However, we also welcome candidates from a broader engineering or electrical background who can demonstrate the ability and commitment to learn new systems quickly. You will be required to attend customer sites between 8:00am and 5:00pm, with flexibility to work outside standard hours when required. A full UK driving licence is essential. Key Responsibilities * Install, service, maintain, and repair generators * Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out effective fault resolution * Conduct routine servicing and inspections in line with maintenance schedules * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control panel faults * Commission new equipment, including load testing and performance checks * Complete accurate job sheets, service reports, and documentation * Read and understand Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Lift Plans, and site drawings * Carry out full site installations, including: * Establishing and disconnecting power connections using fly leads (16amp, 32amp, and 63amp plug-and-play systems) * Assisting with site demobilisation * Supporting crane operations for welfare and accommodation units (CPCS Slinger Signaller or lifting experience desirable) * Installing site welfare units in various configurations * Establishing water connections from mains or external water sources * Represent the business to the highest professional standard at all times Technical Knowledge & Skills * Proven experience as a Mobile Engineer or in a similar electrical role * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Experience with single-phase and three-phase systems * Understanding of hybrid systems, including Solar PV, battery storage, and wind turbines would be desirable * Ability to programme and refine settings on new and existing hybrid systems * Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals * Flexible approach to overtime and site requirements Requirements * Minimum 3 years’ electrical experience * Full UK Driving Licence (essential) * Right to work in the United Kingdom Benefits * Competitive salary up to £45,000 per year * Company pension scheme * Private medical insurance * Cycle to work scheme If the role is of interest, apply now
