The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major National Grid infrastructure project based in Oswestry. This is a high-profile scheme within an ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) environment, offering long-term work certainty over the next 4–5 years.
This role provides the chance to take ownership of a significant energy project in a central location, with clear visibility and exposure to senior leadership. You’ll report directly to the Senior Operations Manager for the Northwest region, with a clear line of sight to the England & Wales Energy Director, creating excellent opportunities for career progression within a major programme.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project from pre-construction through to completion
* Manage programme, budget, risk, and stakeholder engagement across all project phases
* Drive performance across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial objectives are met
* Work closely within an ECI framework, influencing design, planning and delivery strategies
* Provide regular reporting to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager role within infrastructure or energy projects
* Strong background working with National Grid or similar utilities frameworks
* Experience across substations, underground cabling, or overhead line (OHL) projects
* Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
* Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness
