SEN Teaching Assistant – St Helens:
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
2. Preparing learning resources and activities
3. Building rapport with pupils, parents and staff
4. Maintaining regular communication with the teacher and external agencies to ensure Education and Health Care plans are updated
Position Details:

6. Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
7. Type of Work: Temporary
8. Full time/Part time: Full time only
9. Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
10. Minimum Rate of Pay: £100 per day, depending on experience
11. Start date: 03/03/2025
12. End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
13. Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
14. Level 2 Teaching Assistant or other relevant qualification is essential
15. Previous experience supporting SEN, in particular Autism
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
16. Hold Right to Work in the UK
17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
18. Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
