We are looking for a Regional Business Development Manager to manage, motivate, and develop a sales team to maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities across Yorkshire, aiming for profitable revenue growth in the SME division. The role involves managing day-to-day and strategic issues within the new business team, driving sales through planned, objective management of activities and processes. You will also play a key role in ensuring Biffa stays ahead in service offering, business model, and operating methods.
Your core responsibilities
* Achieve sales targets at regional and depot levels.
* Meet or exceed quarterly and annual new business sales targets.
* Manage a sales territory and prospect lists for new business opportunities.
* Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activities on the Company Operating System.
* Produce and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
* Coordinate with Depot Managers and RGMs to implement sales strategies within the region.
* Act as the primary interface between Biffa and target customers.
* Handle sales prospecting and pricing negotiations.
Qualifications and experience
* Proven experience managing a field sales team.
* Proven success in selling contracted services.
* Strong commercial awareness and background.
