What is the job role?

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until 31st March, aligned with a Government-backed programme, with potential for future extension subject to continued funding and programme priorities.

As an Employment Adviser in our Connect to Work programme, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting residents into sustainable employment, while working closely with employers to create meaningful opportunities. This is your chance to be part of a strategic, employer-facing role that blends frontline support with partnership development.

What You’ll Do

In this dynamic role, you’ll:

1. Manage a caseload of clients, guiding them from initial engagement through to sustained employment.
2. Deliver tailored advice, job search support, and employability training – both 1:1 and in group settings.
3. Work intensively with employers and the Employer Engagement Team to match clients to vacancies, coordinate recruitment activities, and ensure job retention.
4. Lead on initiatives such as Employer Host Days, Job Interview Guarantees, and targeted recruitment campaigns.
5. Collaborate across services and partners to deliver a seamless, city-wide employment offer.
