We are seeking a proactive and committed Church Centre Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our church site and facilities. The role ensures buildings are safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. Working with Church Wardens, the Incumbent, and Resource Church Manager, the manager oversees building maintenance, health and safety compliance, event logistics, and site operations. This practical, people-facing role requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a heart for enabling ministry through excellent stewardship of space and resources.

Buildings Management and Maintenance

* Monitor and order hospitality and cleaning supplies, liaising with the Treasurer and Bookkeeper for payments within thresholds.
* Maintain First Aid kits, incident book, and ensure First Aiders are trained and current.
* Coordinate health and safety, First Aid, and relevant training for volunteers and hirers.
* Maintain the list of keyholders and implement regular building maintenance schedules, liaising with relevant staff for inspections.
* Prepare and submit faculties, oversee building works, source estimates, and procure equipment and services.
* Ensure technical systems, including IT, are operational and procure new equipment as needed.
* Implement waste management and sustainability protocols, including Eco Church plans.


Church Centre Operations

* Manage church buildings and car parks, including safety checks, risk assessments, and security protocols.
* Coordinate with group leaders and volunteers for weekday ministries, ensuring proper setup and equipment functioning.
* Communicate with stakeholders, contractors, and the public.
* Conduct safety and risk assessments, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with all groups using the building.
* Participate in staff meetings and coordinate with the Incumbent and Resource Church Manager.


Hires and Events

* Serve as a contact for hirers and agencies, coordinating event support and risk assessments.
* Work with the Resource Church Manager on key events, ensuring logistics are in place.
* Liaise with leaders and hosts on equipment and facility use.
* Coordinate teams for cleaning, security, and first aid during special services and events.
