Scope of Duties:
1. Interact with clients, staff, and outside contacts with respect and courtesy.
2. Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
3. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and training sessions.
4. Orient and assess all new clients via the approved agency assessment tools.
5. Complete Service Plans on all assigned clients based on approved agency assessment tools with client input.
6. Monitor and document client progress according to funding source standards and/or operational policy and procedures.
7. Update service plan with client input.
8. Schedule and facilitate case management meetings with clients as required.
9. Identify and/or develop resources and link clients to needed services.
10. Facilitate scheduled workshops, programs, or groups addressing clients' needs. For program-specific requirements, see addendum.
11. Fulfill obligations of training agreements entered into for core curriculum programs.
12. Develop appropriate discharge plans for all assigned clients as per contractual requirements.
13. Facilitate house meetings as needed.
14. Participate in required internal and external Treatment Team meetings.
15. Complete all required reports and documentation.
16. Demonstrate competency in program-related certifications.
17. Provide support to program assistant functions.
18. Obtain LSI-R Training and Certification within 90 days of hire.
19. Attend court and/or parole hearings as subpoenaed or assigned.
20. Facilitate at least one core curriculum program.
21. Conduct drug and alcohol screens as directed or needed, reporting results to the Director or Manager.
22. Deliver specialized mental health treatment interventions to address risk and needs.
23. Perform other duties as assigned.
ADA Essential Functions:
* Occasionally required to smell and stoop.
* Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel.
* Regularly required to reach.
* Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
* Regularly required to lift and move up to 10 lbs.
* Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
* Ability to observe an area while remaining fixed on a given point.
Credentials/Abilities:
The employee must have a Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Work (MSW); however, a Master’s degree in Counseling or a related Human Services field may be considered. A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in mental health counseling and working with special needs populations is required. Skills in communication, counseling, resource development, and working with addictive personalities are essential. Basic understanding of human behavior and group dynamics is needed. The employee must have effective written and verbal communication skills, interact appropriately with clients, and possess basic computer skills. Competency in core curriculum facilitation and passing criminal background checks are mandatory. A valid driver’s license and meeting agency driver standards are required. Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings is necessary. Bilingual skills are a plus.
