About the role
We are looking to recruit a confident, enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our friendly team to help deliver an efficient and customer focused registration service.
The successful candidate will initially register marriages and civil partnerships before progressing in due course to undertake other duties including conducting ceremonies and registering births and deaths.
In this varied and rewarding role you will be working with members of the public at key moments in their lives, and no two days are the same.
About you
A registration officer must have excellent customer care skills, be able to work accurately with meticulous attention to detail and also have a high level of computer literacy. Previous experience of working within a registration service is not a requirement as full and ongoing training will be given.
Due to the expectations of the role, it is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate fluently in Welsh and English.
The successful candidate will be required to attend ceremonies at various locations throughout Ceredigion, therefore they must provide their own transport.
It is expected that the successful candidate will also be regularly available to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays on a rota basis depending on the needs of the service – for which additional payment will be made for these extra hours. To assist the smooth running of the service, they will be asked to confirm their availability at least a month in advance.
