Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide care and assistance to clients. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized support and companionship. The successful candidate will need to be able to work on Monday to Friday.
Location : Burton upon Trent
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Administer medication following prescribed guidelines
- Help with household tasks, including meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Transport clients to appointments and outings
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior
Skills:
The ideal candidate for the Support Worker position should possess the following skills:
* Experience in patient care and assisted living
* Ability to drive, access top their own vehicle and transport clients safely
* Proficiency in first aid and medication administration
* Knowledge of hospice care, dementia care, senior care, and home care practices
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Empathy and compassion towards individuals requiring support
