Senior Consultant - Financial Technology Implementations
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (Hybrid 2 days onsite)
About the Role
A leading financial technology provider is expanding its team and is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to support the delivery of complex software implementations across a broad client base within financial services.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business analysis, solution design, and client engagement, and who brings experience from financial services, capital markets, payments, or CASS‑related environments. You'll work closely with clients to understand their operational processes, translate requirements into effective solutions, and support delivery teams throughout the project life cycle.
What You Will Do
In this role, you'll lead client workshops, map current processes, and define the requirements that form the foundation of a successful implementation. You'll produce detailed solution designs, act as the customer advocate during development, and ensure the delivered solution aligns with the agreed scope.
Throughout the implementation life cycle, you will collaborate with project managers, developers, and test teams, helping to interpret requirements, support testing activities, and manage changes when needed. You'll provide clarity when things become complex, structure when stakeholders diverge, and guidance when delivery teams need direction.
You'll manage multiple projects at once, communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, and play a critical role in ensuring project outcomes land successfully.
What You Bring
You will have a background in fintech, SaaS, or financial services, with hands‑on experience delivering software solutions into operational or regulatory environments. You're comfortable working with financial data, understanding reconciliation or control processes, and navigating the terminology common to capital markets, payments, or CASS oversight.
You have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the confidence to lead discussions at all levels - including senior stakeholders. You can translate complexity into clear documentation, handle ambiguity, and manage competing priorities across several work streams. A solid understanding of implementation life cycles, change control, and testing phases is essential.
