About the Role: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in nurturing young learners, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and engaged. You will assist in delivering activities that encourage early development, communication, social interaction, and a love for learning, while working closely with teachers and early years practitioners. Responsibilities of a EYFS Teaching Assistant: Support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with their learning and development. Assist in planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities. Encourage pupils’ personal, social, and emotional growth in a safe environment. Work one-to-one or with small groups to provide targeted support. Help assess and track progress, providing feedback to teachers. Promote positive behaviour and inclusion for all pupils. EYFS TA Requirements: CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or a relevant qualification. Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners. Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
