Brief description:
Teach Art, Design and Technology to KS3/KS4 students in an alternative provision setting
About the school:
A specialist alternative provision supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs and those unable to thrive in mainstream schools. Focus on practical, creative learning and small group teaching.
About the role:
Deliver creative and hands-on lessons in Art & Design and/or Technology. Engage students through project-based learning, promoting self-expression and skill development.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
* Teach Art, Design and/or Technology across KS3 and KS4
* Develop practical, accessible lessons to suit diverse learners
* Foster creativity and confidence through personalised support
* Work effectively with support staff and pastoral teams
Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
* QTS, QTLS, or relevant teaching qualification
* Experience teaching Art, DT, or a creative subject at secondary level
* Understanding of SEMH needs or experience in alternative provision (desirable)
* Creative, flexible, and inclusive teaching approach
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
