Purpose of Role
VINCI Facilities is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our Defence Business Unit, supporting billable works across the South East region. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile defence contract, delivering projects that make a real impact
Job Description
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing and delivering projects within the Defence sector. You will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing works to ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in the delivery of billable works projects from inception to completion.
2. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
3. Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to meet project objectives.
4. Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, reporting to the Project Manager.
5. Support risk management and ensure adherence to statutory and mandatory requirements.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
6. CSCS Card (Occupation Competency).
7. Ability to obtain SC Clearance (Security Check).
8. SMSTS, Full First Aid, and Temporary Works Coordinator training.
9. Previous experience in project management within construction or facilities management.
10. Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable:
11. Experience working on Defence contracts.
12. Knowledge of HSEQ standards and compliance.
