Hays Accountancy and Finance are recruiting on behalf of a large public sector organisation for an experienced Senior Finance Manager. This is an interim role initially and and excellent opportunity for a finance professional to lead a team delivering budget planning, financial analysis, reporting and project support.
Your new role
1. Lead the preparation, monitoring, and closure of revenue budgets in line with organisational policies.
2. Provide financial guidance to Members, Directors, and the Senior Leadership Team.
3. Support budget setting, Medium Term Financial Planning, and service improvement initiatives.
4. Drive financial reporting and business partnering across multiple service areas.
5. Contribute to the implementation of a new finance system.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal person for this role will be a qualified accountant strong public sector experience, proven leadership, and immediate availability. This role will offer a hybrid working arrangement.
