Leading Carrickfergus based Generator Installation & Maintenance Provider is looking for an individual to fill the role of a Diesel Mechanic to carry out jobs across Northern Ireland. With a vast number of contracts managed in different sectors, there is plenty of room for progression and opportunities within the business.
We are seeking to recruit a number of mechanical bias engineers to join out team. In return you can expect a generous rate of pay, company van, other benefits plus long term job security.
As a mechanic for our company you will be tasked with completing the following duties;
Planned and preventative maintenance
General engine servicing
Reactive maintenance
Engine rebuild works and replacing defective parts
Hands on installation of a range of diesel generators
Qualifications Required
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent (mechanical bias)
Driving Licence
Desirable Attributes
Previous experience working with diesel generators / generator systems or in the HGV industry
Previous experience fault finding on diesel engines
Previous experience working with various engines such as; Perkins, Caterpillar, MTU, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Cummins
Previous experience in the installation and of modification of fuel systems / exhaust systems
