Your new role
As a Temporary Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Sourcing & Purchasing: Identifying and selecting suppliers to meet business needs, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
2. Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to maintain optimal availability.
3. Purchase Order Management: Creating accurate POs aligned with budgets and procurement policies.
4. Suppliermunication & Relationship Management: Liaising with suppliers to confirm orders, resolve issues, and maintain strong partnerships.
5. Cost Control & Replenishment Planning: Minimising holding costs and planning timely reorders to meet demand.
6. Negotiation &pliance: Supporting contract negotiations and ensuring adherence to procurement policies and legal standards.
7. Reporting & Collaboration: Maintaining accurate records and working closely with internal teams to align procurement with business goals.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Proven experience in a similar procurement role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
9. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and strong IT literacy.
10. A solid understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
11. Excellentmunication skills and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
12. A proactive, accountable mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service.
13. CIPS or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
