As a Senior Children’s Worker, you’ll play a vital role in shaping their journey, supporting not just their daily needs, but their hopes and aspirations.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and support a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care.
* Act as keyworker, helping shape and review individual care plans.
* Promote inclusion, empowerment, and access to community services.
* Represent the service at reviews and meetings.
* Model excellent social care practice and behaviour support strategies.
* Take responsibility for medication, finances, and staff coordination.
* Share in worship and uphold our Christian ethos in daily practice.
What You Bring
You bring a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with disabilities, along with experience in managing challenging behaviour and working in a care setting. You’re confident using Microsoft Office and the internet, and ideally hold (or are committed to gaining) HNC and SVQ3 qualifications in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People). You’re registered with the SSSC, a member of the PVG Scheme, and your Christian faith is central to how you work and lead others with grace and compassion.

As the role requires a Christian faith and to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos, this is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. The post requires you to be a member of the PVG Scheme and to be registered with the SSSC. It is your professional responsibility to meet the standards and criteria for registration. We require that applicants have permission to work in the UK and will check entitlement to work.
