Overview
We currently have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Officer within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) which also supports the Referral and Assessment Team on a permanent part‑time basis of 22.5 hours per week. The role runs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9‑5.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all referrals are processed and passed through to MASH in a timely manner, meeting statutory deadlines.
* Handle referrals via email or phone from professionals and members of the public, covering early intervention to high‑risk child protection concerns.
* Act as the first point of contact for all areas of Children’s Services, managing time, flexibility and attention to detail.
* Provide support for child protection meetings, arranging and submitting concise minutes within required timescales.
* Perform general office administrative duties, including communication with families and professionals on case outcomes.
* Work at the office Monday‑Friday on a rotational basis; at least 2 days per week in office for the first 2 weeks to familiarise with the team.
Qualifications & Skills
* Dynamic, forward‑thinking individual with experience working to strict deadlines and performing under pressure.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to make decisions and manage highly confidential information.
* Excellent communication skills and the capacity to drive forward change and improve work processes.
* Previous experience in children’s services or safeguarding is an advantage (not required).
